What began over 5 years ago as a wish to help people by two of the members of our church has flourished into a thriving ministry of our church!

Sharing Saturday is a once a month outreach where we welcome our downtown Poughkeepsie neighbors to join us for a meal generally on the first Saturday of each month. The meal is made by members and friends of our church or we purchase ready made meals from a local restaurant. In addition to the meal, we give away toiletries, bags of shelf-stable food, gently used clothing, outerwear, shoes, brand new socks and even some household items. Everything we give away is donated by members of our congregation and people in the community. All of the items offered at Sharing Saturday, including the meal, is completely free of charge, no questions asked. Donations of items (clothing, shoes, outerwear, seasonal items, shelf-stable food, toiletries such as soap, shampoo/conditioner, feminine products, razors and shaving cream, etc.,) can be donated at the church. Monetary donations can be made by mailing a check to the church office or by donating through our church’s secure giving page located here.
