Our Pastor

Rev. Heather A. Moody

Our congregation is led by the wonderful Reverend Heather A.  Moody.

Reverend Heather joined our congregation as our permanent settled minister in March of 2011.

Raised in Michigan, Reverend Heather received a Bachelor of Music in Church Music magna cum laude from St.  Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  After discerning God’s call for her to enter the ministry, Rev.  Heather attended Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA, graduating in May of 2004 with a Masters of Divinity.  She was ordained in the fall of 2005.  Along with having served in several other church positions, she also previously served on the Executive Council of the United Church of Christ at the national level.  Rev.  Heather has written worship liturgy for the UCC’s Worship Ways.  Experienced in working with children and youth, she is passionate about offering opportunities for people that will help them nurture their relationship with God and to integrate their faith with their daily lives.

She is a deep and faithful theologian, a wise and creative worship leader and she genuinely cares about the church living out its call to embody love and to do justice.  She is reflective, generous in word and spirit, deeply thoughtful and compassionate in her ministry and she loves to laugh!  Her warm and infectious smile makes you want to talk with her for hours!

For fun, Rev. Heather enjoys spending time and sharing good food with friends, watching movies, making bread, reading good books, photography, and playing the bowed psaltery.
