As an Open and Affirming congregation, our church celebrates, supports, and warmly welcomes our LGBYQIA+ neighbors into the full life and leadership of our congregation. Our Pastor of over 13 years is an out lesbian. We cherish and appreciate the brave authenticity of our trans and gender non-binary community and offer them a safe space to be their real selves. We have participated in Pride Parades in New Paltz from 2010 until 2019. Then in 2020 we began to participate in Poughkeepsie’s own Pride Parade. We both march in the parade and we staff a booth at the after-parade festival in Waryus Park, making sure everyone at the festival knows that we are truly a warm and welcoming place for EVERYONE no matter who you are and where you happen to be on life’s journey.
