For quite a few years now, a dedicated group of crafters in our church knit and crochet beautiful handmade shawls infused with prayers and blessings to give away. Shawls are often gifted to those who receive baptism, those who have lost a close loved one and those who may be seriously ill and in the hospital or nursing home. These shawls are a tangible expression of the way God’s love and healing power enfold the recipient.
